Addressing USB Restricted Mode Exploits
Among the standard bug fixes, iOS 18.3.1 resolves a significant exploit that bypassed USB Restricted Mode on locked devices. USB Restricted Mode, introduced in iOS 12, prevents data transfers via the device’s Lightning or USB-C port if the device remains locked for over an hour.
