The virtual launch event, held across Instagram Live, Facebook, and Zoom, gathered fashion enthusiasts, sustainability advocates, and industry leaders to discuss the environmental impact of occasion wear waste and the future of resale culture in Africa.

The event featured insightful discussions led by TABEX co-founders Modupe Sanni, Dr. May Ikeora, and Philip Uwumarogie, along with a special guest influencer – Alexandra Asogwa. Key topics included fashion waste, the stigma around secondhand clothing, and how digital marketing can drive sustainable fashion forward.

“Each year, millions of tons of fabric waste end up in landfills, with occasion wear being a major contributor. TABEX is here to change that by making resale and reuse the new norm,” said Modupe Sanni, Co-founder of TABEX.

As part of its mission, TABEX is calling on people to resell, donate, or shoppre-loved African attire on its platform www.tabe-x.com. This initiative not only promotes sustainability but also supports charitable causes.

The post-launch phase focuses on maintaining engagement, driving sales, and reinforcing the message of sustainable fashion through social media content, influencer collaborations, and digital campaigns.
